my cell phone is still kaputt but i just spent the past...who knows how long talking with my new mitbewohneren (the people on my floor). I met a dude, Fahris (i think), a medical student from Iraq. But I spent most of the time talking with a guy from China, i can't even begin to try and pronounce nonetheless write his name. But for about an hour we chatted about Germany and China, the Olympics and whatnot. and then i chatted for a while with a spanish (?) floormate.
You just don't get an experience like this anywhere else :)
